Recently, I had the pleasure of being visited at my wax workshop by the young students from the 1st Preschool of Myrina, where we spent some quality and creative time together. This experience was filled with joy and inspiration, as the little artists showed excitement and creativity in every activity.

Candle Making from Beeswax Sheets

Our first activity was making candles from beeswax sheets. The children learned about the origin of wax and the process of making it. Step by step, they carefully wrapped the sheets around the wicks to create beautiful, handmade candles. The texture of the beeswax sheets and the satisfaction of crafting something unique with their hands thrilled the children.

Candle Holders from Air Dry Clay

Next, we moved on to creating candle holders from air dry clay. This clay is easy to use and safe for children, as it dries in the air without needing to be baked. The children, with my guidance and the help of their parents, molded the clay into various shapes and designs, creating original and aesthetically pleasing candle holders. They used their little hands to add details and give personality to their creations. Their imagination knew no bounds, and the results were impressive.

A Day Full of Inspiration

The visit from the 1st Kindergarten of Myrina was a true celebration of creativity and learning. The children not only enjoyed making the candles and candle holders, but they also learned new skills and experienced the joy of creating. The parents, always supportive and encouraging, helped the children to unleash their imagination and discover new ways of artistic expression.

This day was a reminder of the importance of art and crafts in education, as well as the value of providing children with opportunities for creative play and learning.
